You will never sew so easily again! And why is that? Because you are using a unique needle, called the SPIRAL EYE^®

The unique shape of the eyes of these need- les has been designed so that thread, or floss, slips in easily through the side of the eye, requiring no skill or sharp eyesight!

Once the needle is threaded, all you have to do is push it up the curved groove and into the straight slot above it, where it will stay in place while sewing, thanks to thelatch halfway up the eye.

Making these spiral-shaped eyes is com- plicated. High-precision equipment ensures that every SPIRAL EYE^® needle is identical. These needles are made with high-grade stainless steel and are corrosion free.

Flower Head Pins

These long, colourful flower shaped pins are handy crafting tools for quilting, knitting and sewing projects. Colour Headed Pins

Colour headed pins are made of high tensile steel wire and have a plastic head. They are available in various colours and counts. These pins help in sewing projects to mark hems, quilting, and general alterations before final sewing of seams, tucks and other processes.

For quilting we recommend the 45 mm x 0,65 mm pins. The points of these longer pins slide cleanly into fabric without causing snags or unsightly holes and they will pin through multi layers of fabric and batting.

Glass Headed Pins

Glass Headed Pins are made of high carbon steel wire and have a glass head. The small, ball-shaped heads are very easy to see, and won’t melt when touched with an iron. Perfect for marking or decorating your sewing or crafting projects and great when working with several layers or with bulky fabric. These lovely glass head pins come in a multitude of colours to suit your every mood.

These all-purpose snap fasteners are a household ‘must have’ used in numerous soft furnishings, fashion garments, accessories and baby clothes. Jeans Buttons

Non-sew metal buttons are extensively used in hardwearing clothing such as jeans and jackets. They come in 5 different designs and four colour shades antique copper, brass, pewter and bright nickel and add a vintage touch to your garments. Easy to apply – simply put the top and bottom piece underneath and on top at the desired spot of the fabric and fix with a small hammer.

Scissors

PONY precision cut, stainless steel scissors meet the highest demands on quality and longevity. The comfortable handles and fine blades make cutting safe and accurate all the way to the points. The blade tension can be adapted individually by adjusting the connecting screw. We recommend size 115 mm for embroidery, 150 mm for needlework, 200 mm for general cutting and 225 mm for dressmaking.

Pinking Scissors

Loop Turner

Turning narrow tubes of fabric right side out is quick and easy with the help of the PONY loop-turner. It’s also handy for retrieving lost elastics and cords from drawstring waistbands. Simply slide this handy tool through the tubing, attach the latch hook to the end of the cord or elastic and pull it through to secure. It’s also very useful for making straps or handles.

Pin Cushions

To have your pins and needles close to hand is a real boon for all aspects of sewing and dressmaking. The PONY pin cushion is a classic. The drop-shaped pin cushion and wrist pin cushion are tightly filled with polyfil to hold pins rigidly and to prevent rust. Cushions are machine washable at low temperature. The wrist pin cushion with Velcro closure can be adapted to fit individual wrist size.

Tape Measures

The flexible PONY tape measures are made from fibre glass and show metric measurements on both sides. They are abrasion and light resistant to ensure a longer working life. The retractable tape measure includes both imperial and metric markings and the locking mechanism allows you to pull out the length of tape needed and then lock the unit so it won’t retract until unlocked. The cassette protects the tape measure and keeps it clean and free from kinks.

SPLIT French Knitter

Splits in two halves and allows you to use your imagination in wrapping objects with large end attachments.

Unique to PONY and Patent Applied
this revolutionary tool takes traditional French knitting to a whole new level of creativity and fun.

THE SET

The set consists of 1 SPLIT French Knitter, 12 pegs, 6 U-pins, 1 Loom hook, 3 rubber rings and a set of instructions. The pegs and U-pins are interchangeable. Use pegs when working with thinner yarn or floss. You can use any number of pegs but as a guide, use 12 pegs for the finest yarns and 6 for slightly thicker yarns.

U-pins are ideal when using thicker yarns – you can use all 6 pins or just 4 depending on the yarn.

HOW IT WORKS

Simply place the yarn end and the object to be covered inside the French knitter cavity. Join and close both halves of the French knitter together using the rubber rings to hold in place.

You can now start French knitting around the object, pulling gently on the yarn at the base of the French knitter as the knitted cord starts to grow.
